Hankook Tire relaunches complete Internet site in Europe


  • New website faster and particularly customer-friendly

Neu-Isenburg, Germany, 7th January 2009 - Hankook Tire, currently the seventh-largest and one of the fastest-growing tyre manufacturers in the world, has put its new European website online. Created as a multi-lingual presentation of company and product, the site impresses with its sophisticated design, ultra-modern web technology and customer-friendly new features such as the intelligent product-finder system.

Thanks to the flexible structure of the new website, news and facts tailored to the European market can be provided on a daily basis. The Content Management System based on the open-source solution TYPO3 enables the decentralized and uncomplicated upload of content. New or updated content can therefore be added to the website at any time locally, i.e. promptly and in tune with the market.

“The new website reflects our status as one of the leading tyre manufacturers in Europe”, says H. S. Ahn, Vice President Marketing & Sales of Hankook Tire Europe with satisfaction. “It demonstrates once again the deep passion for convincing technology and customer-friendly service which distinguishes us as a company.”

One special feature of the new website is the interactive product catalogue, which enables the direct and detailed comparison of different tyre models. The new tool allows customers to find out online about 66 summer, winter or all-weather tyre profiles in a total of 1400 sizes. The latest test results are also available for viewing or to download. The site also includes a dealer search function. At a click of the mouse, the newly developed Google Maps API interface displays the closest dealer. “Hankook Tire has thus placed itself at the head of the market in terms of customer-friendliness” explains web designer Moritz Pommer, who is responsible for the technical implementation.

Dynamic animations offer visitors a lively and varied surfing experience, allowing them to experience online the motto of the tyre manufacturer “Driving Emotion”: TV advertising spots, image films and pictures can be played back directly in the comprehensive Media Center.

Hankook Tire also offers greater convenience for journalists: In another new development, the Press Room, the company provides media representatives with comprehensive press material, currently in eight languages. This can be obtained at a click of the mouse and following a simple registration from Hankook Tire’s European website www.hankooktire-eu.com or direct from www.hankooktire-press.com. In addition to product illustrations, production photos and other material such as motorsports images in different resolutions, TV clips can also be downloaded from the user-friendly image database. Background information on the company history and commercial performance is also available, together with the latest press releases and annual reports of the company.
